Six weeks. One career change.
The PADI Divemaster course is the first professional level in recreational scuba diving and the start of everything that follows in the dive industry. Our programme is six weeks long, designed specifically for pro candidates, and it runs at the busiest dive shop in West End.
That last part matters. Your internship happens in a real working environment. You'll be briefing guests, running skill circuits, hauling tanks, and learning compressor operations from the crew that works this dock every single day. By the time you finish, you've done it all for real.
William Welbourn, our PADI Platinum Course Director, has earned multiple Platinum Course Director Awards. Few Course Directors have his depth of experience. If you're serious about going pro, learning from one of the best in the industry is the right way to start.
We'll talk through where you're at, what to focus on, and how to prepare for the six weeks ahead. Contact us here.
What the Six Weeks Cover
Real work. Real environment.
Our programme runs to CTD standards alongside PADI's minimum requirements — which means you graduate with more practical experience than most candidates at your level. When you leave here, you're ready to start your IDC.
- Academic studies and knowledge assessments
- Practical applications and skill circuits
- Dive briefings and guided dive leads
- Night diving
- Compressor operations and tank filling
- Rescue and emergency management scenarios
- Customer service and guest relations
What You Need to Start
Come prepared
You'll need a PADI Rescue Diver certification and Emergency First Response (EFR) Primary and Secondary Care current within the last 24 months. A minimum of 40 logged dives is required, though we recommend arriving with at least 60. PADI medical clearance is required before the programme begins.
Get in touch before you arrive and we'll talk through where you're at and how to prepare for the six weeks ahead.
We can run both courses here before your Divemaster programme begins. Get in touch and we'll build out a schedule that works.
What You'll Earn
Your Divemaster certification
You'll earn your PADI Divemaster certification — the first professional credential in recreational diving. From here you can move directly into the PADI Instructor Development Course with our team. Many of our divemasters are working in the dive industry today.
