We run four boat dives every day from our dock in Half Moon Bay, with morning two-tank trips, afternoon single-tank dives and night dives available during the week.
Four chances to get underwater every day.
The reef begins a short boat ride from our dock in Half Moon Bay. That means less time getting there and more time doing what you came to Roatan to do.
Our morning boat heads out for two dives, while the afternoon schedule gives you two separate single-tank departures. You can dive once, spend the whole day underwater or build your own schedule around the rest of your trip.
Dive sites are selected each day based on weather, conditions and the experience of the divers on the boat. One day might mean a wall or wreck. The next could be swim-throughs, coral gardens, a channel or a slow drift along the reef.
There is plenty to see without doing the same dive twice.
Book ahead when you can.
Walk-ins are welcome when space is available, but advance reservations are recommended, especially during busy travel periods.

Morning Two-Tank Trip
The morning trip usually visits two different sites and is best suited to Advanced Open Water Divers or divers with the certification and recent experience required for the planned dives.
The first dive may include a deeper wall, wreck, channel or site with more current. After a surface interval on the boat, the second dive is generally shallower.
Afternoon Single-Tank Dive
The 1:00 PM dive is open to certified divers of all experience levels.
These trips typically visit shallower reef sites within Open Water depth limits, making them a good choice for recently certified divers, anyone returning after a break or experienced divers looking for an easy afternoon dive.
Afternoon Single-Tank Dive
Our second afternoon boat gives you another chance to get underwater without committing to a full two-tank trip.
Join us for one afternoon dive or book both departures for a relaxed two-dive afternoon with a break back at the shop between boats.
Night Dives
Roatan’s reef changes when the sun goes down.
Octopus, lobster, crabs and other reef creatures become more active, and on the right night you may see bioluminescence sparkling through the water.
Night dives normally run on Tuesdays and Thursdays with a minimum of four divers. Other evenings may be arranged by request.

Coconut Tree Divers has access to more than 80 dive sites within the Roatan Marine Park.
Close to West End, you will find steep walls, coral canyons, sand channels, wrecks, swim-throughs and shallow reef gardens packed with marine life. Longer morning trips give the crew more flexibility to reach sites farther from the shop, while the afternoon boats stay closer to West End.
Sites may include areas around West End Wall, Texas, The Maze and Spooky Channel, along with dozens of other locations stretching along Roatan’s northwest coast.
We are happy to hear your requests. Final site selection depends on weather, marine conditions, certification levels and what has already been dived that week.
Good dives without making it complicated.
Tell us what you are certified for, how recently you have been diving and what kind of dives you enjoy. We will help place you on the trips that make sense for your experience.
You will receive a site briefing before entering the water, and every trip is guided by an experienced PADI Divemaster or Instructor who knows the local reef.
We plan for relaxed dives around the 60-minute mark when air consumption, conditions, no-decompression limits and the group allow. Nobody is encouraged to stretch their gas or training just to stay down longer.
Newly Certified Divers
The afternoon trips are usually the best place to begin. They stay within Open Water depth limits and visit sites that allow you to settle in and enjoy the reef.
Experienced and Advanced Divers
Join the morning boat for access to a wider range of walls, wrecks, channels and more demanding sites.
Returning After a Break
Let us know how long it has been since your last dive. Depending on your experience and comfort level, the crew may recommend a refresher before joining a regular boat trip.

Prefer traveling light? Full rental equipment is available for only $5 more per dive than the bring-your-own-gear rate.
Standard 80 cf tanks are used for most dives. Smaller 60 cf tanks and larger 100 cf tanks are also available, so tell us when booking if you have a tank preference.
DIN adapters are available, and Nitrox can be added for certified Enriched Air Divers.

When the weather shifts, we move with it.
Most of our diving leaves directly from Half Moon Bay. During the winter months, an occasional north or west swell can make this side of the island unsuitable for boat diving.
When that happens, we may move the day’s diving to Flowers Bay on Roatan’s south shore.
It is the same Coconut Tree crew and boats, with a different set of dive sites. A $10 per-dive transportation charge applies on south-shore days, with a minimum of three divers required.
A few things divers usually ask us.
Can Open Water Divers join the morning two-tank trip?
The morning sites may involve greater depth, current or more challenging conditions. Eligibility depends on your certification, recent experience and the sites planned for that day. Open Water Divers can always join our afternoon dives, which remain within Open Water depth limits.
How long are the dives?
We generally plan for dives around 60 minutes when gas supply, no-decompression limits, conditions and the group allow. Actual dive time varies for every diver and every site.
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
No. You can dive with your own setup or rent full scuba equipment from us. The current rental-equipment rate is $5 more per dive.
Do you have larger tanks?
Yes. Standard 80 cf tanks, smaller 60 cf tanks and larger 100 cf tanks are available. Request a specific size when you book so the crew can have it ready.
Is Nitrox available?
Yes. Nitrox is available for certified Enriched Air Divers for an additional $8 per dive.
When do night dives run?
Night dives normally run on Tuesdays and Thursdays with a minimum of four divers. Other evenings may be arranged when there is enough interest.
Can I request a particular dive site?
Absolutely. Let the crew know what you would like to see. We cannot guarantee individual sites because the final decision depends on weather, conditions, diver experience and the week’s schedule.
