Emergency First Response · Half Moon Bay, West End, Roatan

Emergencies don't wait. You shouldn't either.

The skills in this course extend the window for a victim's survival before professional help arrives. CPR, first aid, AED use, managing bleeding and shock. They work whether you're on a dive boat, a hiking trail, or at home.

Nearly 70% of life-threatening emergencies happen with family or close friends nearby. This course teaches you what to do in those first critical minutes. Every diver should have it current. Honestly, so should anyone who spends time outdoors or near water.

EFR certification is also a PADI requirement for the Rescue Diver course. If your certification has lapsed, we run EFR concurrently with Rescue Diver as a one-day add-on.

Who Can Take This Course

Open to everyone

No prerequisites. EFR is open to anyone — divers and non-divers alike — with no minimum age requirement. If you're combining EFR with the Rescue Diver course, we run both concurrently without adding extra days to your trip.

Required for PADI Rescue Diver

EFR Primary and Secondary Care, current within 24 months, is a prerequisite for the Rescue Diver course. If yours has lapsed, we add EFR as a one-day add-on at the start of Rescue Diver week — no extra days needed.

What You'll Earn

Your EFR certification

You'll be certified as an Emergency First Responder for two years. It's an internationally recognised basic emergency care qualification. After two years, a one-day refresher course keeps your certification current.

What Comes After EFR

EFR unlocks your next step

With your EFR current, the door to Rescue Diver is open. And Rescue Diver is the door to everything that follows.

PADI Rescue Diver

The course most divers say changed everything. Requires current EFR. We can run both in the same week without adding days to your trip.

Rescue Diver Course

PADI Divemaster

The first professional level in recreational diving. Current EFR is required before the programme begins. Six weeks, Half Moon Bay.

Divemaster Programme

Advanced Open Water

If you're working toward Rescue Diver, Advanced Open Water is your other prerequisite. We run them back to back all the time.
