Welcome to Coconut Tree Divers
Coconut Tree Divers is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre in West End, Roatan. We’ve been here for over 24 years. In that time, we’ve logged 9,038 diving certifications, trained 627 Divemasters, and certified 5,091 Open Water Divers.
We’re also one of the friendliest shops in Roatan. There are usually divers from a dozen countries on the boats, and people who show up on their own leave with new friends to dive with.
Four boat dives a day, an experienced multilingual crew, and the reef a short ride out. We don’t oversell. We just run good, safe dives so you can have a great time enjoying scuba diving in Roatan.

Certified Diving
Already certified. Join us! Morning two-tank at 9:00, singles at 1:00 and 2:30. Single dive $50, ten-dive package $450.

TEC Diving
Roatan's only on-site TDI Tec Center. Tec 40, 45 and 50, sidemount, Nitrox and Trimix fills.
Daily Fun Dives
We’re on the water at the entrance to West End, open seven days. The morning two-tank runs deeper sites and needs an Advanced Open Water card or equivalent experience. Afternoon singles are open to any certified diver.
Nitrox fills on site. 12L and 15L tanks both available, so if you’re a heavy breather just ask for the 15. Tanks get rinsed after every dive and your logbook gets signed at the end of the day.

Diving Roatan's Mesoamerican Reef
Roatan sits on the Mesoamerican Reef, the second largest barrier reef in the world. From the dock at the entrance to West End you’re minutes from sheer walls, shallow coral gardens, and sites like Spooky Channel, The Maze, and Texas Reef. Over 80 of them within boat range.
The water stays around 26 to 29°C year-round, with visibility usually 20 to 30 metres. From October to January, when needed, we move the boats to Flowers Bay on the south side so you still dive.

No. Discover Scuba Diving takes you on a real reef dive with an instructor beside you, no certification needed, from $110. If you want the card, PADI Open Water runs three to four days at $400 all in.

Yes, if you can. We’re one of the busiest shops in West End and we sell out several days ahead through high season. Walk-ins are welcome when there’s space on the boat.

Water sits between 26 and 29°C year round and visibility usually runs 20 to 30 metres. A 3mm shorty is plenty for most people. Some divers go skin in summer.

We move the boats around the point to Flowers Bay on the south shore, seven minutes by road. That mostly happens October through January when a north swell pushes into West End. You still dive.

On the beach in Half Moon Bay, at the entrance to West End, Roatan. The boats are tied up out front from early morning. Walking distance from most accommodation in West End.

Yes. A two-tank cruise ship trip is $110, with a separate boat and instructor scheduled around your ship’s timings. Round trip transport can be added.

Diver Experiences
My daughter and I were here last week doing some advanced certifications. We did our Rescue Diver, Advanced Open Water and buoyancy certification, and then fun dives the rest of the week. We have been here many times and will never dive with anyone else on the island.
