Who We Are
One of Roatan's oldest dive shops.
Coconut Tree Divers is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre in Half Moon Bay, West End, Roatan, Honduras. We've been here since 2006. In that time we've logged 9,038 diving certifications, trained 627 Divemasters, and certified 5,091 Open Water Divers from this same stretch of beach.
The shop sits right on the water. Walk out front and you're looking at the reef. Our crew is multilingual, all PADI Instructors, and has been working this dock long enough to know the reef sites the way you know your own backyard.
We do four boat dives a day. We pour Opalaca coffee on the deck before the first dive. We'll move the boats to the south shore when conditions require it. We don't oversell.
We're one of the busiest dive shops in West End and frequently book out several days ahead. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are strongly encouraged. Book online or get in touch directly.

The Reef
The Mesoamerican Reef. Right out front.
Roatan sits on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second largest barrier reef in the world. From our dock in Half Moon Bay, you're minutes from sheer walls dropping to 40 metres, shallow coral gardens, and sites like Spooky Channel, The Maze, and Texas Reef.
Over 80 dive sites are within range. The water temperature stays between 26–29°C year-round. Visibility typically runs 20–30 metres. On good days it's better than that.
When west end weather pushes up a swell in October through January, we move the boats around the point to Flowers Bay on the south shore. Seven minutes away. You dive regardless.

We run the full range of PADI recreational and professional courses, plus technical diving through the Roatan Tec Center on site.
The Shop
Big covered deck. Small groups.
The CTD deck overlooks Half Moon Bay. There's fresh Opalaca coffee before the first dive, purified water on the boats and at the dock, and cold Salva Vida at the end of the day. The location puts you within walking distance of most accommodation and restaurants in West End.
We run small groups. Our boats are large platform boats with easy aluminium ladders. Dive groups are kept to a size where you actually get briefed properly and your guide knows where you're at.
